The bar chart below presents the proportion of people in Australia who did ordinary physical exercise in 2010. They come from different age groups.
As we can see from the graph the highest percentage appeared in women from 45 to 54 with 53.3%. Women also trained more physical activity than men in almost all age groups, except age 15 to 24.
The difference in the amount of physical activity trained by gender was huge in the middle age, while it narrowed down in early age and elderly age. Especially in age 65 and over the difference went down to just 0.4%, comparing to 13% of difference in age 35 to 44. In addition, women paid much time practicing exercise when they were in a middle age, while in contrast men in young and old age trained more than them in the middle age, with the highest proportion of 52.8% in age 15 to 24.
In conclusion, the highest percentage in each gender didn't show much difference. However, the lowest proportions in age groups belonged mainly to men, who also did less exercises than women.
