The bar chart illustrates various age groups of Australian men and women who were active in physical activity in 2010, displayed in percentages.
In most age groups, there are higher percentages of female who were active than male. However, the only group that men (52.8%) dominate women (47.7%) were at the age of 15 to 24 years. In addition, it was shown that this age group overall were the most active compared to other groups in 2010 with 99.7% in total.
In comparison of the highest percentage of men stated above, the age group with the highest percentage for women belonged to 45 to 54 years, with 53.3%. The lowest percent of people involved in physical activity are 39.5% and 47.1% for men and women respectively.
Despite the large differences between two genders in every age group, in the category of 65 and over the difference was only 0.04%. This includes 46.7% of male, and 47.1% of female.
Overall, female was more active in physical activity than male. However, there was not a big difference between male and female in the age category of 65 and above.
