The following graph illustrates how much the administration invested on infrastructure and transportation of 4 distinct countries from 1990 to 2005.
Overall, there was a decrease in the figure of Italia, Portugal, and the UK, while the USA witnessed a slight increase. However, the Portugal had the highest figures in the period.
The Portuguese figure started at the peak of larger than 25 percents in 1990, but later significantly dropped to 20 percents in the last year of the period examined. However, the percentage of the USA started at approximately 11 percents, after which it experienced a small decline to 10 percents in 1995, before ending the period at 15 percents in 2005. Especially, the Portugal and the UK remained the same positions throughout the period, which were the highest and the lowest percentages.
The similar trend of changes can be seen in the figures for the Italia and the UK, which fluctuated and reached a peak in 2000. Meanwhile, the figures for the Portugal and the USA saw opposite changes, including the increase of the USA and the adverse trend of Portugal, albeit the first-ranked percentage of the Portugal.
