Overall, it can be seen generally that girls outperformed the boys in almost all the subjects except geography. Furthermore, it is clear that the performance of the boys was in mathematics while the that or girls was computer science.
The female students did best in computer science with a 56.3% pass rate when compared to their male counterparts with a 42.2% pass. Girls performed slightly better than boys in mathematics at 49.2% respectively. Similarly, the female did a little better than the male in foreign language (include French, German, and Spanish) with the boys at 0.6% lower than the girls at 46.8%. Geography recorded at 20.1% for girls at their lowest pass rate compared to other subjects.
Chemistry was the boys' weakest subject recorded at14.1% while the girls' outstanding performance stood at 30.2%. The other subjects (history and physics) had pass rates of 36.7% to34.7% for physics and 25.6% to 22.9% for history for both boys and girls respectively.
