The bar chart provides statistics on unemployment rates of graduates aged 20-24, in a European country in two years, 2008 and 2009.
Generally, the percentage of unemployed male graduates tended to be higher than that of jobless female graduates during the duration of the survey.
Between January and July in 2008, both genders experienced the same decline: from 10 percent to 7.5 percent for men and from 7.5 percent to 6 percent for women. Both subjects, then, rose to sudden peaks at October in the same year at 16% and 11% for men and women, respectively.
The second half of the survey exhibited the same trend to an extent . In 2009, the figure for men reduced to 12 percent in January and after a slight fall in April and July to 11 percent, soared high to 22 percent in October whilst that for female graduates, while also decreasing to 8 percent in January and peaking at 14 percent in October, had one negligible reduction from January to April (from 8 percent to 6 percent, respectively) and one big leap from April to July (from 6 percent to 10 percent).
