The bar chart compares and contrasts data on the differences in the proportion of spending on five major kinds in the us, canada, the uk, and japan in 2009.
An overview of the bar chart reveals that the figure for health care was the lowest in the four cities while the reverse was true for housing in the us and food in japan.
The proportion of expenses for housing was 26% compared to just under 25% in the uk and japan. canada had the lowest housing at 21%. Then, the figure for food in japan and the uk with over 20%which was higher than in the us was 14% and in canada was 15%. Afterward, the figure for health care in the us was higher than around 7% in the other three cities. In comparison with the figure for clothing in canada (6%), the proportion of expenditure was 5%,4%, and 3% in the uk, japan, us, respectively.
On the other hand, the figure for transportation in canada was 20% higher than 17% and 15% in the us and us. japan had the lowest, at 10%.
