The bar chart compares the numerical data in minutes for phone conversations made in the United Kingdom, done in three ways between 1995 to 2002.
Overal, local calls were made regularly throughout the period, while use of mobile phones was relatively low. Further, trend in use of cellphones continue to rise gradually over the given period, as well as national and international calls using landline.
It can be clearly seen on the chart, that local calls were popularly made throughout the period and it peaked at 90 billion minutes in 1999 and the lowest point was in 1995 when it recorded 72 billion minutes.
Furthermore, local and overseas calls were done averagely throughout the years. The conversations made increased gradually from the beginning of the period, at 37 billion minutes in 1995 and 60billion in 2002. In 1995 cellphone use was unpopular as few calls were made, at approximately 3 billion minutes. Over the period, the number of calls made continue to rise dramatically. Use of mobile phone began to increase drastically, while calls made through landline fell steadily.
