The bar chart illustrates the proportion of employee in six different types of career in american between 2003 and 2013.

It is clear that there were increases in the percentage of people working in education training, the hotel industry, the building industry and self-employed whereas the opposite was true for the medical and business medical related jobs. Additionally, the unemployment rate dropped significantly in this time.

In 2003, education training, the hotel industry and the construction industry were three sectors having the lowest rate of employees, with approximately 8%, 4% and 10%, respectively. The figures for these areas all climed to share a similar percentage at closely two in ten throughout a decade. Surprisingly, the number of people in working age who ran their own business witnessed the largest growth, rising threefold virtually, from roughly one in ten in 2003 to just over 30% in 2013.

In 2013, the labour force in the US involving in business fields fell to nearly 30% after it had been the most popular occupation ten years ago. Eventually, the proportion of medical workers and people having no any jobs shrank to a half of that in the initial year.
