This graph indicates the percentage change in world population since 1950 till 2050 in four countries -India, China, Usa and Japan.

The population of China was 25% in 1950 which reduced to 20% in 2002 and further is expected to reduce in 2050 to 15%. The same trend of 5% population decline was also noticed for USA where the world population was almost 7% in the year 1950 and decline to5% in the year 2002 which is further exected to decrease in the year 2050. The higherst percentage of populatiol decline is expected to occur in japan in 2050. The initial population here was approximately 4% which further reduced to almost 3% in 2002 and then a sharp decline to 1% is expected further for the year 2050.

While the population of China, Usa and Japan showed a steady decline, however, India is the only country that was not able to curb it's population growth and showed a constant rise in population by contributing the highest for the total world population.
