The chart illustrates the proportion of the young people pursuing higher education in four different countries in 2000,2005 and 2010.
Overall, it can be seen country D had the highest percentage of young people entering higher education during three years. In addition, both country A and country D experienced a significant increase in the proportion of young people joining in higher education.
In 2000, there were about 35% young people who paticipated in higher education in country A while 80% of young people took part in higher education in country D. In 2010, there were a significant growth of about 20% in the young people’s participation in higher education in both countries A and D.
The year 2005 witnessed a slight decrease to under 40% in the percentage of young people in higher education in country B. Additionally, the proportion of participants in 2000 and 2010 are equal at 40% in country B. In 2000, 50% young people entering higher education in country C while this figure remained stable at around more than 50% between 2005 and 2010
