The bar chart shows the sales figures and profits of ABC Electronics in millions of US dollars over the period 1991 to 2000. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. You should write at least 150 words.

The chart illustrates the amount of revenues and profits over a decade starting at 1991 for an electronics company. Units are measured in million dollars.

It is clear that while the trend of sales amount followed almost an increasing pattern, the corresponding numbers for profit demonstrated some volatilities during the period. Although the rate of profit to sale for the first and last year of the period is approximately the same.

In 1991, ABC electronics gained 8 million US dollars as profit. Over the next 5 years, company income rose up to 135 million dollars whereas the profit increased 50 percent and saw the number of 12 million dollars in 1995.

In 1997, the profit reached its top at 16 million dollars when 146 million dollars of sales is demonstrated. By the next three years, however he figures didn’t show a significant growth, but the maximum number for sales can be observed in 1999 at 158 million dollars. During the last year of the period while sales amount experienced a slight decrements from $158M to $152M, company earned $1M more profit.
