It is noticeable that China was the largest electricity producer and consumer in 2014. It also can be seen that the production of electricity was more than its consumption among the countries except for Germaney whose electricity generation was less than electricity consumption.
In China, 5,398 billion kwh of electricity was produced in 2014 with electricity consumption of 5,322 billion kwh. The United States was in second place, producing 4,099 billion kwh electricity, while American people consumed 3,866 billion kwh electricity. By contrast, the production and consumption of electricity in Russia was much less than those in China and America, with only 1,057 billion kwh and 1,038 billion kwh, respectively.
While the other seven countries produced and consumed less electricity in 2014, with amounts under 1,000 billion kwh. While the number of electricity production was above 500 billion kwh in Japan(936.2), India(871), Canada(618.9), France(561.2), Brazil(530.7) and Germany(526.6), the figures for electricity consumption in Canada and Brazil were below 500 billion kwh. Korea, Rep produced and consumed less electricity than the other nine countries, at 485.1 billion kwh and 449.5 billion kwh, respectively.
