Overall, as is observed, the accommodation prices in London were always higher than that of England. In addition, London also had the highest figure of this expense compared to other areas of Britain in 2013.

In 1995, the house prices in England and its capital city were about 125000 and 200000 pounds, respectively. In the next 8 years, the number of England rose noticeably to 200000 pounds while that of London rocketed tremendously to more than 400000 pounds.

In 2013, people living in London spent the highest amount of money on house expenditure, at 400000 pounds, followed by South East and South West areas, at over 300000 and around 270000 pounds, respectively. The figure of house expenses for North West was 200000 pounds. The lowest average was over 100000 pounds in North East, which was four times lower than that of London whereas there was just about 120000 pounds in Midlands.
