The bar chart shows the sales of digital games, recorded in billions of dollars, of 4 categories of games, namely Mobile Phone Games, Online Game, Console Games and Handheld Games, from 2000 to 2006.
It is obvious from the graph that the most digital games sales over the period was Handheld Games.
By 2006, the sales of handheld games almost hit 18 billions dollars which was more than those in 2000 by about 6 billions dollars. In 2000, the number of handheld games sales, at 11 billions dollars, doubled that of console games. A similar pattern was repeated in 2001. The one difference is that online games were sold in this years at about 1 billion.
A notable feature is that the sales of console games had decreased from 6 billions to 3 billions dollars in this period while there were an increase rate in mobile phone and online games ranging from around 1 billion to around 8 billions dollars. In the last 2 years, console games became the worst selling items and was 5 times less than the best selling items.
