Two proposed sites, S1 and S2, will be used for building a new shopping mall at Brandfield city.
Adjacent to the City Center, both of the proposed sites are enclosed by a railway, passing through center of the city, and a connecting road. Therefore, both places will be easily accessible either by train or car. City planners are able to choose the places distant from the golf course and the park. They try to isolate the park from the noise of the shopping mall.
Both of these places have strategic differences in terms of location. Situating near the housing estate, the S1 site will be easily accessible for household residents. This site is also far away from the industrial site, keeping the mall free from industrial pollution. Although, the S1 site will definitely pollute the nearby river, the S2 site, situated far away from the river-flow, will not harm the river.
In summary, both of the proposed sites have benefit of being easily accessible by train and car. While both sites are isolated from the park and the golf course, S1 may cause to pollute the river and S2 may be affected by industrial pollution.
