It is clear that the most noticeable difference between the two sites is that S1 is located in the north of the city, whereas S2 lies in the south-east of this area. The sites can also be compared in term of access by road or rail, and their positions relative to other accommodations and infrastructures.
Looking at the information in more detail, both proposed sites have equal distance from its location to the city centre. However, S1 is close to the residential area of the city, while S2 is near the industrial estate. Besides, the S1 location also next to a river which flows from south-west to the north of the area.
There are a main road and a railway that run through the city and both of them are near to two sites. Therefore, the way Brandfield citizen access S1 or S2 that is similar. A large golf course and park is built in the west of the city, which prevent it to become another potential site for a new shopping mall.
