the pie chart shows the particulars of ages of the population of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and predictions for 2050.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that significant growth in population might take place in certain age groups whereas, a slight decrease in other age group is also predicted.
Firstly, the inhabitants of Yemen in 2000 consisted of the majority of people aged between 15-59 years over 46%. While under fourteen population is half of the country's population, leaving only 3% for the old age group. However, the situation is likely to be much different in 2050 as people between 15-59 years are projected to be more than half of the population. On other hand, childrens aged below fourteen are likely to increase to 37% of the total population. Lastly, 5.7% of occupants are projected to be old age.
However, the number of people in Italy is slightly different as under fourteen population is slightly less than one-sixth of total Italians. on the other hand, the young adults between 15-59 years are nearly two-third of the total population. Moreover, old-age citizens are 21% more than that in Yemen in 2000. Comparatively, in 2050, the young population of Italy is likely to fall to 11%. Whereas, nearly half of the population is expected to be aged between 15-59 years (15% less than that of 2000). Lastly, senior citizens are projected to be more than 42% 0f the total population in 2050, being seven times more than of Yemen in 2050.
