The chart and table below give information about population figures in Japan.

The given bar chart illustrates the population of Japan. The table shows the elderly population of Japan and the percentage of total older people in Japan over the period of 105 years.

Overall, it is clear that while the number of Japanese people always increases most of the time, and only decreases from 2005 to 2055. While it predicts that the number of elderly Japanese was the highest in 2035. But the percentage of people in Japan who are over 60 will be the highest in 2050.

Looking at the bar chart, Japan's population started at 84,1 million then significantly went up to 121 million in 1985. Then, it continued to increase significantly, around 127. 8 million in 2005 before slightly declining to 125,4 in 2015 and predicted to dramatically decrease to 89,9 in 2055.

According to the table, there were 4.1 people over 65 years of age in1950 and accounted for 4.9% of the population. The number of the older population will be predicted to rise rapidly to 37.3 million at 34.0% of citizens in 2035 before decreasing slightly at 36.5 million and accounting for 41.0% of residents.
