The chart and table below show the average number of children born to one woman
and the average age of women when they had their first child in two countries
between 1920 and 2019.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features
and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
The above charts show us the average number of children that were given birth by a single
woman along with the average age of the mother for every first born child over a
century between two diversely different nations.
Overall, we can see that number of children per each woman have more or less remained
the same even after a hundread years. On the contrary the mean age at which a woman has their
first child is increased in both the countries alike irrespective of their cultural and economical
differences.
On observing how many chidren a woman had on average there is a noticable variations over the
time. In the year of 1960, there seems to be peak in numbers which is pretty evident in the case of
Kazakhstan. Although there is a spike in the graph around the same period of time for UK it is not
as significant as the earlier. However, during the year 2000, the numbers reduced in half in both
the cases. And to the end of the graph we can see the numbers inclining upwards indicating the
global conditions impacted both the countries alike.
When the table for the age of a woman’s first child is analyzed, it can be identified that the
earlier observation cannot be upheld in the scenario. One common conclusion can be made
taht in both the countries the average age for bearing a first child has increased but the increase
is not symmetrical in both the countries. In Kazakhstan the age increased from 23.5 to 27.6 which
is an average of 4.7 years increase as opposed to just 2.4 years increase in UK from 26.5 to 28.9.
This clearly shows us how the present day technology and education is impacting the countries
which were conservative and backward earlier.
