The chart below gives information about how families their weekly income in 1968 and in 2018. Summarise the information by make comparisons in one country spent selecting and reporting the main features, and where relevant.

The bar chart compares the percentage of average weekly income spending by families in a certain country in two different years 1968 and 2018.
It is clear that there were significant changes in how people spent their income on different needs. While families spent a lot of money on food in the past, people tend to pay for housing and leisure activities these days.
In 1968, 35% of weekly income was spent on food, 10% for housing and clothing/footware, all other needs such as fuel and power, household goods, personal goods, transport and leisure were under 10%.
In 2018, a different trend can be seen in the distribution of money of families. We can see that the money spent on food was just at 17%, considerable increases in percentage of income spent on housing and leisure can be seen, at 19% and 22% respectively. Another need that also increased dramatically was transport with 14% of weekly income of families.
