The bar graph depicts the most prevailing games played in New Zealand in

2002 and it also shows a comparison between both genders in each sport.

Overall, the most popular sport played by girls is Net ball which constitutes

to 26% and boys are more interested in playing Soccer with amounts to

25%.

Prima facie, it is apparent that netball (26%) is considerably more played

by girls than other sports. In addition, the second most sport holding more

females is swimming, which makes up to 19%. Only 2% of females are

interested in Cricket, which makes this sport least demanded when

compared to other sports.

Males are interested in playing soccer (24%), followed by other category

sports which constitutes to 19% and swimming (14%). They seem to be

least interested in playing netball (2%) and athletics (4%). Their interest

towards basketball and tennis are likely to be same (9% respectively).
