The chart below show the main reason for study among people of different age groups and the amount of support they received from employers.
The given chart compares the percentage of two main study reasons among four groups of age and support given by employers for each group.
It is clear that most people, especially from the age of below 26 to 49, work because of their career, thereby making a significant gap between datas of these two reasons. In addition, the under 26 age group receive most support such as time off and help with fees according to the second chart.
As can be observed, the proportion of professional reasons in the under 26 years old group for study peaked at the top of the chart, at 80% while interest reason just hit a low of only 10%. This considerable difference is gradually shortened due to not only the decreasing occupational reason but also the upward trend in leisure reason, by about 13% and 10% respectively. It is also noticeable that people from 40 to 49 years old study for career and interest equally at 40%; however, when they are over 49, leisure rates rapidly rise up by 30% which is much larger than another rate at just below 20%.
Looking at the details shown in the second chart, the percentage of support that the first three groups collected by the employers drop from a high of around 62% to the lowest rank at only 42%. But when people are older, they seem to receive more support; as a result, the figure of 40-49 and over 49 age groups go up slightly, standing at approximately 38% and 44% respectively.
