The chart below show the proportions of British students at one university in England who were able to speak other languages in addition to English, in 2000 and 2002

The given charts depict the percentage of British students at one university in the UK who could speak other languages other than English between 2000 and 2010.

Overall, the British students who were able to speak a different language than their mother tongue increased gently with a significant number. Although Deutsch language was one-third of the total, their interest in speaking more than one marked high demand respectively.

During 2000, the proportions ranged 10 to 30 per cent and meanwhile, those who spoke only English were 20%, as they were the second largest students at that university whereas, German speakers were by far the outnumbered ones at about 30%.

As is observed from the second chart, German, Two Other, and Another Language speakers slightly rose to 5% each, while French Only students fell down with the same amount.

Interestingly, though No Other Language students dropped by 10% in 2010, they have shown that they changed their mind to speak at least one another language.
