The line graph illustrates the amount of carbon dioxide emitted per person in the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, and Sweden for over 40 years, starting in 1967.
Overall, carbon dioxide emitted per person in Italy and Portugal has a gradual increase throughout the period, while Sweden decreased. Although the United Kingdom went down significantly it remains on top of the four countries.
Carbon dioxide emitters in Italy and Portugal started the period with roughly a metric tonne and just above 4 metric tonnes respectively. The data continued to move up to approximately 7.5 metric tonnes and 5.5 respectively at the end year given.
Meanwhile , in Britain, the amount of CO2 emitted per person began at about 10.5 metric tonnes, modestly went down until 2007 to just above 8 metric tonnes. The figure has stayed the same as the highest point of the three countries. Even though Sweden was on the second rank from 1990, the data drops from around 8.5 metric tonnes to about 5.5 metric tonnes, which marked as the lowest point same with Portugal as the figure collides in 2007.
