A glance at the provided line graph illustrates the information about the figures of three different crimes in Manchester city from 2003 to 2012. In general, it is clearly apparent that burglary had extreme downward pattern while car theft and robbery showed slightly upward and stable trend respectively.
Looking in more detail from the chart, at the beginning of the period, burglary was the highest illegal act happened in the city at near 3,500 cases while car theft only recorded at around 2,300 cases and robbery was much lower at only one seventh of the burglary. In 2004, all the crimes number increased by 100 to 300 cases. However, the figures of burglary started to drop dramatically at around 1,000 cases in 2008 made it as the second highest crime after car theft. In the next four years until the period ended, the incidence of burglary reported to increase by 500 cases. Oppositely, car theft cases have documented to have an upward trend although it had fluctuation from 2004 to 2008. In 2012, car theft was the highest crime which have approximately 2,800 incidents. Finally, robbery was the lowest violation among others which only observed not more than 1,000 cases during the periods.
