The chart below shows global sales of the top five mobile phone brands between 2009 and 2013.
The given report aims to compare the number of worldwide sales of the five leading mobile phone developers namely, Samsung, Apple, Nokia, LG and ZTE from 2009 to 2013 in form of the bar chart.
Generally speaking, three out of five companies followed upward trends over the period with the massive growth of Samsung in particular, whereas the other two experienced downward trends with a dramatic decrease in Nokia.
In 2009, the totals of units sold by Samsung valued approximately 215 million dollars, half the value of the product sold by Nokia. However, Samsung started to increase significantly in 2009 and climbed up to an estimated $430 million by 2013. While Samsung experienced such a dramatic increase in its sales units, Nokia, by contrast, faced a drastic drop from over $400 million to only $250 million within 5 years.
Focusing on three remaining brands, Apple and ZTE’s product sale units tended to increase when those of LG slightly decreased.
