The change in the fuel use for the sector of transportation in six different European nations in comparison to the EU average from 2009 to 2010 is displayed in the bar chart, shown in percentage.
Overall, the average of EU fuel consumption in the initial year is higher than it in the next period. However, Slovakia and Spain witnessed a downward trend of fuel usage, while other countries showed some changes.
Initially, the consumed fuel average for transportation in Europe accounted for 6%, and the highest proportion was Slovakia, almost reaching 9%. Meanwhile, Austria used approximately 5% of the energy in this sector, being larger than Italy, with a gap of 0, 5%. Furthermore, the other nations stood below 4%.
Eventually, the usage of this energy in Europe decreased of a percent. Additionally, a dramatic fall was experienced by Slovakia to slightly over 6%, followed by Spain at around a half of the former, then the rate of Austria usage remained stable. This contrasted to the aforementioned states, that of Italy and France increased moderately by only one percent, while although that of Greece also inclined, it was still below a third of the maximum data recorded, being the lowest.
