The chart below shows male and female fitness membership between 1970 and 2000 in some land.
The chart illustrates male and female fitness members of some land recorded between the years 1970 and 2000.
Overall, more male species were a part of fitness membership than women throughout the time period. Both gender's membership rates fluctuate, the interesting thing to notice is that at the start of the period woman showed the least interest, but during the last year woman were more in number than men.
Woman’s fitness membership was about 1000 in 1970, is lower than men’s rate by approximately 1000 the same year. Then, the number rose to 2000 in 1975. However, there was a slight decline of 200 women (making the total around 1800 respectively) in 1980. During the years 1985 and 1995, the rate remains stable around 2800, which was recorded the highest number of women taking fitness membership. When talking about the years 1990 and 2000, the number dropped to around 2000.
Memberships of men were just above 2000 in 1970, and it skyrockets to 4000 during the year 1975. However, the figure shows the decrease to about 2500 in 1980 and continues to decline at just under 2000 during the next five years period. In contrast, the following ten years showed an upward trend making 5000 members in 1995, which was considered the highest recorded number for men. However, the number suddenly dropped to 1000 members in the year 2000.
