The chart below shows the number of men and women in further education in Britain in three periods and whether they were studying full-time or part-time. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart gives information about part-time and full-time further student in Britain between 1970, 1980 and 1990 in two types of gender (male and female).

Overall, the full-time students were increasing while full-time student were different. There was going up in female but opposite in male students.

Initially, we can see the number of women was increasing during the period given, both full-time and part-time students. There was sharply rising in full-time female students, from close to 800 thousand in 1970 to over 1000 thousand in 1990. While, there were slightly going up in full-time female and male students, reaching around 200 thousand at the end of the period.

On the other hands, the number of part-time male was decreasing. There was 1000 thousand at the beginning. Then, it was dropping to around 900 thousand at the end.
