The chart below shows the number of men and women in further education in Britain in three periods and whether they were studying full-time or part-time.

The chart gives information about the number of male and female in tertiary in Britain in 1970/71, 1980/81 and 1990/91, as long as their forms of studying (full-time or part-time).
It can be seen from the chart that the number of women enrolled in further education both full-time and part-time education was higher than men. Moreover, full-time education was recorded raising gradually throughout the three given periods. Finally, the number of men studied in universities in terms of part-time training was slightly fluctuating.
From the beginning, male in part-time education was 1000 thousands, which was higher than female in 1970/71. Gradually, the number of women in tertiary education grew up remarkably and it approximately reached 800 thousands, which less than the number of men nearly 150 thousands people. In 1990/91, there was a noticeable increase in the number of female followed part-time training, and the number of women during that period was more than men about 500 thousands students.
In terms of full-time education, it was considered that both two sexes were moderately climbed up in three given periods. Howerver, in 1970/71, the number of female joining in further education was nearly hit the bottom, and in particularly, it was around 50 to 100 thoundsands people. Then, during 1990/91, male students in full-time education was more than 200 thousands, and it was the same in female.
