The bar chart compares how many airplane passengers travelled to New York City by three popular airports over the course of 5 years from 1995 to 2000.
Overall, all three airports witnessed an upward trend in the number of yearly visitors to New York city. It is noticeable that Laguardia was the most popular airport to welcome the biggest number of travellers than others.
As can be seen in the bar chart, Laguardia accounted for 35 million visitors in 1995, which was nearly twice as much as that of Neward, only at 16 million. At the end of the survey, Laguardia airport was almost double than that in 1995, at 68 million people. While Neward experienced a roughly threefold increase of 42 million in 1998, compared to the figure at the beginning of the period surveyed. This trend still levelled off in the remainder of the survey.
Although John F. Kenedy airport observed a similar upward trend during the timescale, there was a slight fluctuation in the number of visitors. In 1995, the number of people who chose John F. Kenedy for their trips was 28 million, gathering pace to 48 million in 1997 before losing its momentum to 32 million in 1999. Positively, in 2000, John F. Kenedy witnessed a considerable recovery, with 45 million passengers to New York City.
