The line chart presents the volume of Australian internet users who visited Yahoo! and Google on a normal day. The data is collated from 06.00 AM to 12:00 AM.
Overall, both Yahoo and Google exhibit a varied movement throughout the period. Also, Yahoo attracts the greatest number of users at noon while Google has the summit by 6:00 PM. It is also noticeable that both of them only had the fewest number of viewers by 6:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
Google records 30 million users at 06:00 AM. It slightly increased by 10 million people three hours later. A minimal decrease in the volume of Google users is noted with the same figure as its origin by 03:00 PM before having a dramatic rise which peaks at about 92 million by 06:00 PM. From that point, the number of Google subscribes gradually drop to over 50 million by midnight.
In terms of Yahoo, only 20 million Aussie web surfers are reported at 06:00 AM which is 10 million people less than Google’s figure. This goes up to almost 30 million by 09:00 AM. From this time until noon, there is a constant increase in the number of visitors until it peaks at 90 million by midday. However, it abated after three hours to 30 million, but doubled its figures by 06:00 PM. Merely 40 million Yahoo users are reported which is less than about 10 million compared to Google by the end of the study.
