The given bar chart illustrates number of incidents and injuries passenger got via different transportation like commuter rail, heavy rail, light rail and bus etc. in 2002. All the given numbers in chart are based on 100 million passenger miles travelled by transportation. Transportation types are plotted on x-axis and Number per 100 million PMT plotted on y-axis.
From the first glance at a chart, we can see that highest number of incidents happened with demand response more than 250 and more than 150 injuries happened in demand response. Lowest number of injuries and incidents happened in commuter rail with number of slightly half than 50.
While in heavy rail there are 50 incidents and slightly lower than 50 injuries got by passengers. In light rail transportation had a difference between incidents and injuries were almost double. Traveler got same number of incidents in bus with compare to light rail, but number of injuries was slightly more than 50 in bus transportation.
