The chart below shows the percentage of the day working adults spent doing different activities in a particular country in 1958 and in 2008. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The picture illustrates the percentage of day doing different activities of maturities in one country between 1958 and 2008.
What stands out from the graph is that sleeping and working were the main activities of adult people in one day in both of the years. Whereas, the amount of time they spent on going out with friends or family decreased dramatically.
First of all, the percentage of working hours in 1958 was higher than other activities at 33%. Following that was the data of sleeping hours, 1% less than working hours. While, going out with friends or family only takes up 19%, equal about 1,7 with both above activities. 50 years later, adults tended to spend more time working with 42% in a day. By contrast, the rate of sleeping and going out with friends or family experienced a downward trend to respectively 25% and 6% in the last year.
Turning to the other three activities which adults did not use to do much of their time. The percentage of time they spent traveling to work and relaxing at home rose considerably from 2% and 8% to 8% and 13% respectively. Meanwhile, the figure for other activities like hobbies or playing sports stay the same throughout the period shown.
