The diagram illustrates the consequences of waste paper recycling.
In general, there are six stages to recycle waste paper from the collection of used paper to the manufacture of usable paper.
Firstly, waste paper is collected from a variety of sources such as public paper banks and business companies. Secondly, recycling workers categorized paper to eliminate paper that cannot be recycled. All of these procedures are done by hand. After that, recyclable paper is delivered to paper mill to be ready for being processed.
At the paper mill, paper is put to go through a cleaning stage when it is cleaned and pulped. Removal of other materials (e.g. staples) is also performed in this stage. Then, the next step is to get rid of inks and glues remained on paper, which is called de-inking. Finally, waste paper is placed in a paper -making machine to produce new usable paper.
