The chart below shows the sleep patterns of people in five different occupations according to a Canadian study. Write a report for a university lecturer, describing the information below.
The provided chart represents times of sleep of students, truck drivers, full-time mothers, business executives and doctors based on the studies conducted in Canada.
Overall, students are active during the daytime and they sleep longer than people in other kinds of occupations, which is 8 hours a day, while doctors get up at the same time as students, but work longer, hence they have the least amount of sleep hours, which is 5 hours a day.
Only students and business executives have uninterrupted sleep patterns, 11 pm - 7 am and 11 pm - 5 am respectively, where truck drivers sleep from 4 pm to 7 pm and from 7 am to 10 am and full-time mothers sleep from 10 pm to 1 am, from 3 am to 6 am and 1 pm to 3 pm. Doctors wake up at 7 am and are awake until 1 am, also, they have a gap between their sleep cycles from 3 am to 4 am.
To close it is clear that all occupations showed on the chart have different sleep cycles, where full-time mothers and truck drivers have discontinued sleep schedules, while students, business executives and doctors are asleep for a continuous amount of time.
