The chart below shows three different types of crime in England and Wales from 1970 to 2005

The line graph illustrates 3 various crime categories in England and Wales between 1970 and 2005.

Looking from overall perspective, it is readily apparent that Car thefts were very high among all these crimes. In Comparison, Street robberies were very low. All 3 Crimes in both countries showed upward trend towards the end of period. However, there was fluctuation.

Car thefts number was at 0.4 million in the year 1970 and which was more when compared to other kind of crimes and showed significant increase till 1990 and 1 million number of crimes were reached. There was sudden increase from 1990 to 1995 and hitting highest 1.6 million Car thefts. Whereas, After that, Crimes are slumped to 1 million at the end of period.

0.4 million house burglary crimes happened in both countries at 1970. There was slight growth in this crime till 1980 are at number 0.6 million. However, Crimes rate were remained steady in the 1985 and showed upward sign in the years 1990 and 1995 were at around 0.7 million and house burglary crimes were continued to decline at 2005 year, In number 0.7 million.

There were no Stree Robberies till 1990, However, These crimes are Jumped up to 0.2 million and remained steady from 2000 to 2005 year.
