The chart shows air pollution levels by different causes among four countries in 2021.
Summaries the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and making comparisons where relevant.
Given is the chart comparing four nations, in terms of the levels of air pollution caused by three main factors in 2021.
Overall, China was considered to be at the highest level of pollution, whereas Australia was at the lowest. Another noticeable feature is that transport was the main factor causing the pollution of all countries.
Specifically, in this year, China suffered from air pollution the most when the total amount of pollution was recorded at 210 PPM, with the industrial sector being the dominant contributor (80 PPM). Japan followed the similar pattern, but its total amount was over half that of China. Particularly, the figures for industry and transport were above 40 PPM and 30 PPM respectively, while pollutants from electricity generation contributed a negligible amount.
Regarding America, the transport sector was the main cause of air pollution, recording an excessive level of below 60 PPM compared to other categories. Australia, whose sectors shared relatively the same amount of below 20 PPM, was regarded as the least polluted nation. Notably, the transport sector averagely made the largest contribution to air pollution with the total data of nearly 180 PPM.
