It can be seen clearly that the rate of exchange was fluctuated from 1973 to 1988.
At first, before falling dramatically in almost 2 years from 1975 to 1977, the price of the British pound had two times to
reach at peak by 2.5 in 1973 and a half year of 1975.
Then, the period of 8 years (1977 to 1985) witnessed a significantly various. The rare increased smoothly in 4 years of
period (1977 to 1980) from over 1.5 to nearly 2.5 and kept it stably in 1 year. The last 4 years of the period, the cost of
the British pound went down suddenly from 2.5 to around 1.25.
Finally, last 4 years from 1985 to 1988, there was a sharply growth in comparision value between the US dollar and the
British pound. In 1985, the rate bottomed out at nearly 1.25 then rose in next 3 years.
