The stipulated bar diagram depicts the proportion of gender difference in teachers in various educational settings in United Kingdom in 2010. The mentioned parameters are nursery/pre-school, primary school, secondary school, college, private training and university.
It is clear from the data that, nursery and primary schools were dominated by female teachers, male teachers only constitute 5% and 11% respectively. While, in secondary schools women educators only had a small percentage of upper hand over men educators, almost 10%. Whereas, in college the proportion of male and female professors are equal, which was just over 50% each.
On the contrary, in private training and university education settings were mostly preferred by male teachers, where there proportion was more than the female educators. Private training centers had almost 65% male teachers and 35% female teachers. But in universities the male teachers had a considerable upper hand in terms of percentage, the difference was almost 40%.
In conclusion, Women educators were more interested in teaching children as compared to men. Though, higher education institutions was the male educators preferred teaching choice.
