The chart shows the percentage of the population in the UK who consumed
the recommended daily amount of fruit and vegetables in 2002, 2006 and 2010.

The graph illustrates the pattern of consumption of fruit and vegetables are suggested regularly in Britain in three years.
It is clear that the portion of fruit and vegetables consumed on a daily basis in the year 2006 was the highest throughout the period. While women was reported to be the greatest consumer of fruit and vegetable during the whole timescale, the reverse was true of children.
By 2002, the proportion of daily consumption of fruit and vegetables of women was the highest at 25%, which was much higher than the figures for men and children, at 22% and 11% respectively. In the subsequent four years, women continued to be the major consumer with figures increasing 7% higher than at the beginning of the period. The same pattern was observed in the others, whose figures saw an upward trend, growing significantly to 28% and 16% respectively.
In the last four years of the period experienced a noticeable decline of all categories, with the most remarkable reduction in the number of fruits and vegetables eaten a day by women, from 32% to 27%. Furthermore, despite the daily consumption of fruits and vegetables of men and children both decreasing, reduction rate of the latter was half as much as when compared to the former in 2010.l
