The bar chart depicts the changes in the proportion of male and female learners who managed to obtain a driving license in an Asian nation from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, it can be clearly seen from the chart that women were significantly more likely to pass their driving test than men throughout the surveyed period.

Regarding female participants, in 1980, nearly half the number of those who took the test succeeded. 10 years later, the percentage of women passing the test slightly increased to about 51%. The rising trend continued to the next decade albeit at a substantially larger scale, from 51% to 69% in 2000. Nevertheless, from 2000 to 2010, the figure representing female drivers dropped mildly to 64%.

As for the rate of success in male test takers, the figure commenced at merely 29% in 1980. For the next 20 years, the percentage of men who passed the test steadily climbed to nearly 50% and reached a plateau in the 2000s.
