The line graph represents the percentage of working age population in France, United States, Japan and Germany.
What stands out from the graph is that people who are in working age in four countries mentioned are getting closer and closer to the age of retiring throughout the period surveyed.
Starting at about 67%, the rate of Americans in working age was the highest in comparison with the other three countries in 1960. The figure for the USA declined slightly in the first 10 years, which was followed by an increasing trend to about 68% in 1990 before expecting to its all time low of next 60 years. Following that was the Japanese. Between 1960 to 1990, the was a considerable surge in the proportion of working people in Japan from 65% to about 69%, but later it is predicted to fall significantly to about 52% in 2050.
With a reference to the two left countries with fewer working adults than the other two. The data of France and Germany both witnessed a sharp growth from 1960 to 2010 and then is projected to plunge significantly to 2050.
