The graph describes the data about different groups of ages of the populations in two countries Yemen and Italy in 2000 and predicts change in 2050.
Overall, the increase in the elderly group and the decrease in the number of children are the same progressions in both Yemen and Italy.
Regarding the picture, at the beginning of the century, according to the population distribution of three groups of people, half of the residents were from 0 to 14 years old, followed by 46,3% one from 15 to 59 years old and the over 60s took only 3,6%. After five decades, the number of elderly and working forces will rise to 5.7% and 57.3% respectively, while in the children group who are under 14 years old will drop dramatically to 37%.
In Italy, nearly a quarter was over 60 years old, which took 24,1%, the younger took 14,3% while the largest population area was working forces, 61,6% in the year 2000. Changes anticipated in 2050 in all categories will witness the decrease of the youth and 15 to 59 years old group, down to 11,5% and 46,2% respectively. However, in the older one categories, the population is almost double than in the past.
