The charts below give Information on the ages of the populations of Yemen and Italy In 2000 and projections for 2050. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pie charts below provide data on the demographics of 2 countries, namely Yemen and Italy for the year 2000, and an estimate for the year 2050. The information is broken down into three different categories. The first group is comprised by those being between 0 and 14 years of age, the second one, those from 15 to 59 years of age, and lastly those older than 60.
Looking at the case of Yemen, we can see that children no older than 14 represent 50.1%, being the majority of the population of the country, followed by a large group of young and adult people, comprising a 46.3%, and only the remaining 3.6% being older than 60.
For the year 2050 nevertheless, those between 15 and 59 will be the largest group at 57.3%, followed by infants at 37.0%, while the elder population will have increased by a half to 5.7%.
If we analyse the case of Italy, we will find a completely different scenario, with the people aged 15-59 representing a 61.6% in the year 2000, followed by those over 60 years of age at a 24.1%, with children younger than 14 representing only 14.3%.
For the year 2050 the group between 15 and 59 will continue to be the largest group, at 46.2%, followed closely by the elders who will have nearly doubled their size to 42.3%, while children no older than 14 will continue to be the smallest group, comprising only 11.5% of the total population.
