It is apparent that Sodium and Saturated fat is mostly taken as night meal whereas a large portion of Added sugar consumed in the form of snacks shown on chart. Sodium consumption peaked at Dinner time.
With regards of Sodium and Saturated fat, Americans consumed a figure of 43% Sodium where Saturated fat consumed slightly below than Sodium which is 37% only during taking their dinner meal. At lunch period, they received on average 27.5% of Sodium and fat while breakfast and snacks contained the less quantity of Sodium and fat. Although Breakfast and snacks received 14% of Sodium each time but percentage of Saturated fat (21%) is higher in snacks rather than morning meal (16%).
In case of sugar, Snacks item contained a vast portion of Added sugar which is 42% to be exact meanwhile breakfast experienced the lowest amount of sugar specifically 16%. Only 19% sugar consumed at lunch meal but the figure jump to 23% at dinner and 4% more than breakfast.
