Overall, the figure for electrical appliances increased significantly. However, the hours allocated to accomplish the housework decreased dramatically.
Initially, the highest usage among the appliances was on washing machine at two fifths, followed by the refrigerator, with a gap of one in ten. Nevertheless, vacuum cleaner utilizing was mostly none. Although using the such machines to finish house work was below a half, the weekly time in 1920 was the largest at 50 hours.
Eventually, washing using the machine showed a significant upward trend to almost three fifths. Meanwhile, owning two rest appliances became the most popular, sharing the same proportion at the maximum data recorded, a hundred percent.
