The charts below show changes in the proportion of energy produced from different resources in country in 1985 and 2003. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and comparisons where relevant.

The pie charts compare the ratio of energy created from distinct resources in a nation between the years 1985 and 2003.
It is clear that natural gas made up the largest proportion of resources producing energy, while the percentage of energy made from hydrogen and other renewable resources was smallest.
In 1985, the ratio of energy created from natural gas accounted for over half of total energy (52%), but dropped for 13%, to just 39% in 2003. In addition, nuclear power produced 22% energy in 1985; however, that figure decreased significantly to just 8% in 2003. By contrast, the amount of energy created from hydrogen remained unchanged over the period (accounted for 4% of total).
From 1985 to 2003, the proportion of energy produced from coal and oil grew considerably, from 8% to 22% and 13% to 23% respectively. Besides, the figure for other renewable resources rose from just 1% in 1985 to 4% in 2003, but still accounted for the smallest percentage.
