Overall, industralised countries were leading in all of type of activities in educationand science sectors in comparison to developing nations.
As can be seen, over a decade number of schooling years were changed marginally and these were still under 3 year in developing countries. While in developed nations, in 1980, above were average school years and rose slightly after 10 years to just over 10 years.
Similarly, number of scientist and technician per 1000 of people climbed slightly in developing countires, whereas in developed it became almost double from 1980 to1990.
During 1980, around 50 billions dollar were spent on research by developing nations and the amount was decreased in 1990 to around 20 billions$. In contrast, developes countires expenditure roketed from 150 billions to approximate 350 billions dollar.
