The two pie charts demonstrate how the amount of time that adult workers spent on daily activities in a specific nation changed from 1958 to 2008.
Looking from an overall perspective, it can be observed from both pie charts that working adults spent most of their time per day going to work and sleeping. In addition, the proportion of time those workers spent hanging out with their friends or families decreased significantly from 1958 to 2008.
Beginning with the 1958 pie chart, we can easily notice that workers had to spend most of their time going to work and sleeping, each of these activities made up about 33% of the mentioned pie chart. Besides, working adults spent about 19% of their time per day going out with their friends or families. The respective percentage of time spent on other interests or sports, relaxing at home, and traveling to work was 6%, 8%, and 2%.
Turning to the second pie chart, adult workers spent much lesser time with their friends and their families as this figure dropped dramatically from 19% in 1958 to only 6% in 2008. In contrast, 2008 witnessed rises in terms of activities such as resting at home (increased by 5%), going to work (raised by 6%), and participating in sports or other hobbies (increased by 2%). Finally, adult workers still have to spend most of their time per day at their workplaces and sleeping, which accounted for 42% and 25% of the second pie chart, respectively.
